Beginning this fall, on October 12, the ritual of flipping through a well-worn passport to prove the places you’ve been will disappear across Europe. The change is occurring sooner than the grieving process will set in because the EU states that the digital system will be fully rolled out in 29 countries by April 10, 2026, potentially shifting the way travelers collect and share their journeys.
