These metrics were combined into a composite score to determine the year’s top nude beaches. Plakias Beach in Crete ranks first among nudist beaches, with 50 million Google searches. Spain has the highest number of Blue Flag certificates for its beaches, meeting high water quality, safety, and cleanliness standards. With the longest sunshine hours and coolest waters, Wreck Beach in Canada also secures its position on the list.
High-Ranking Nudist Beaches Around The World
Plakias Beach, Crete, the top nudist beach of 2024, stands out with a composite score of 92.1. The beach offers longer sunshine hours and warm water for those looking for a holiday in the sun au naturel. It is also the most searched location on the list, thanks to its highest safety index, 83.1, and clean water. Zlatni Rat in Croatia is the second clothing-optional beach, with a composite score of 90. With 15 hours of sunshine daily, visitors can frolic beside the sea in nothing more than a birthday suit. Over seven and a half million people used Google to find this spot.
With a composite score of 79, Haulover Beach in Miami is the third-best choice for nudists. Its water temperature reaches 30 Celsius during summer, the highest on the list. It is one of the few legal clothing-optional beaches in the USA and has more than 23 million Google searches. Praia do Meco in Portugal ranks fourth for a nude retreat, with a total score of 75. A high safety index of 68.2 indicates that this beach provides a tranquil setting. Additionally, it is one of the most gorgeous places in Europe to unwind, with over 20 million Google searches.
Coming in at number five is Es Trenc in Mallorca, Spain, with a composite score of 73. This beach has the second-highest number of Google searches on the list. On top of that, more than 600 beaches in the country qualify as clean, safe, and high-quality, the highest on the list.
