Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams was escorted off a Delta Airlines flight by law enforcement officers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sunday, November 16, 2025, following an incident with another passenger. According to police body camera footage obtained by TMZ and Page Six, Williams told authorities the altercation began over the volume of her phone as she was scrolling through Instagram videos before takeoff from Las Vegas.
The FBI Atlanta Field Office has confirmed that they are aware of the situation and are currently evaluating whether federal charges may apply. “FBI Atlanta is aware of an incident on a Delta flight on November 16 allegedly involving Porsha Williams and/or at least one other person. We are looking to see whether any federal charges may or may not apply,” a spokesperson with the FBI said in a statement to People magazine.
Differing Stories Surface In The Porsha Williams In-Flight Dispute
In police body camera footage, Williams, 44, claimed the incident was prompted after another passenger sitting next to her in first class complained about her listening to Instagram videos without headphones. “I was on my phone and the volume was up,” Williams told authorities, as reported by Page Six.
According to Williams, when the passenger asked if she was “gonna make me listen to that the whole flight,” Williams asked whether the woman wanted to listen and told her, “there was a nice way to go about it.” Williams alleged the woman then “flipped out” and called her a “bitch.” The other woman involved provided a different account to police, claiming that Williams “assaulted” her and left her “afraid for my life” after she complained about Williams scrolling through Instagram “full blast” for approximately 25 minutes.
She alleged that Williams put her “fingernail so close to my eye that I thought I was going to be physically attacked” and knocked a phone from her hand when she attempted to record the incident. However, other passengers getting off the plane stopped to speak with the police and backed up Williams’ claim that she did not touch the woman.
Official Statements And Investigation Status
Joe Habachy, Williams’ attorney, released a statement on Tuesday saying that Williams “was verbally assaulted by an irate and unhinged passenger without provocation,” per People magazine. A Delta representative confirmed to media outlets that two passengers were involved in an incident, and several crew members spoke with them about the altercation. The flight continued and landed in Atlanta without further issues.
