A Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport passenger has taken his âCall of Dutyâ a little too far. On Thursday, TSA agents found a handgun inside his gaming console as he was trying to pass through the security checkpoints.
TSA On Duty
“Itâs never an idea rated E for everyone to pack firearm parts or guns in a carry-on bag. Weâre not about to console anybodyâs feelings on this topic either. Without going into graphic detail, gun parts, firearms and ammunition must be placed in checked bags. Youâll control your travel destiny by declaring these items with your airline and ensuring they are packaged properly,” written in the TSAâs social media post.
Security Will Be Tight For The Holidays

On their social media profile, youâll see an x-ray image of the weapon inside the console. As they pull the console apart, youâll see different parts of the gun and wires coming from the console.
As of late, thereâs an increase in firearms found at security checkpoints in airports all over the United States. We should expect security to be airtight while we travel during the holidays. Itâs better to be safe than sorry. Plan to be at the airport at least 2 hours ahead of your departure time to avoid missing your flight.
