Daniel Lester Carter is the owner of Noah’s Ark, the newest floating beach club in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. A native of the islands, Daniel began his career in hospitality over 30 years ago. Passionate about service, he has worked in a variety of positions within the industry, working his way up from dishwasher to waiter to bartender to hotel manager, and eventually, to restaurant owner.
Having previously run three other restaurants, Daniel was equipped with decades of knowledge and experience when he decided to open Noah’s Ark. Though it has only been open for two months, Noah’s Ark has already become a popular hotspot for those seeking a unique experience surrounded by the island’s idyllic azure waters.
“At Noah’s Ark we don’t really class ourselves as a tiki bar, but rather a beach club and a full service restaurant on the water that provides tasty meals and delicious cocktails/drinks,” said Daniel.
“One of our customers’ favorite cocktails is a Noah’s Ark special called Super Mario. It’s named after our mixologist, Mario.”
When it comes to the food menu, the fish and chips, whole grilled snapper, cracked conch, and conch fritters are popular dishes among guests. Burgers, ribs, and various native dishes are also served.
Tourists flock to Turks and Caicos to bask on its world-renowned beaches and enjoy activities like snorkeling, sailing, and fishing, to name a few. The islands are home to some of the freshest seafood and best restaurants in the Caribbean. When planning to visit, be sure to add Black-owned Noah’s Ark to your itinerary.
Noah’s Ark is located just up the channel from Water Cay off of Providenciales. It can be located via Google Maps.
“Our hours of operation are 10 a.m. to sunset, and we’re open seven days a week. We are also available to host all kinds of private events. You can check us out on Instagram @noahsarktci.”
