Independence Day, most commonly called the Fourth of July, is a significant day in the history of the United States. Celebrated as the birth of American Independence, July 4 marks the day that Congress signed the Declaration of Independence. This document declared the nation’s independence from British rule and began a new phase for the colonies.

Typically, people in America celebrate Independence Day in many ways. There are parades, festivals, barbeques, picnics, concerts, carnivals, fairs, and more. In the Black community, many people use the holiday to gather with their loved ones and even hold family reunions during their time off work. In addition to the Juneteenth holiday, this day is a chance for Black people in America to reflect on and celebrate the triumphs of the country. Regardless of how people spend their day during this holiday, there is one thing that always unites people across different cultures

The most popular way to celebrate the country is through grand fireworks displays. Fireworks have been an annual tradition since the first Independence Day in 1776. Elaborate fireworks shows have almost become an art during the Fourth of July, so some people may be compelled to travel and see the biggest displays. This is a busy time to travel but it is well worth the effort. Many destinations have various appealing ways to celebrate Independence Day, but there are a few front runners for a celebration like no other.
