Travelers out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) have a slew of new nonstop flight options coming their way. Announced in August, Viva, a low-cost Mexican airline, will fly from Austin Airport to Mexico City’s Felipe Ángeles International Airport (NLU) starting on November 20. According to the Central Texas-based flight hub, Viva’s new nonstop route will happen three times a week – Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Each flight will be on one of Viva’s 186-seater A320s. Nonstop Viva flights from Mexico City’s newish airport (opened in 2022) to Austin’s AUS will also start a three-times-a-week schedule in November.

Delta Air Lines is rolling out multiple new nonstop flights from Austin Airport this fall. Starting on November 8, customers will be able to fly to and from Austin Airport and Palm Springs International Airport. However, the once-a-week flights, which are only on Saturdays, will be a seasonal route, running through April 26, 2026. On November 9 of this year, the airline will also launch twice-daily flights to Denver International Airport (DEN) from AUS. The latter will be operated by Delta’s partner SkyWest Airlines. The third Delta nonstop route launching this autumn from AUS will be a daily flight to Miami International Airport (MIA), which begins on November 22. In a press release, Delta shared that it is also opening “a permanent flight attendant base in Austin” this October.

What Else Is There To Know About Austin Airport And The New Flights?

Delta is also launching international nonstop service from Austin Airport to Cancun International Airport (CAN) and San José del Cabo International Airport (SJD) on December 20. It’s one day before winter officially begins, and perfect for those seeking a warm weather end-of-year holiday. The routes to the Mexican destinations will be seasonal, with the one to Cancun ending on April 12, 2026, and the one to San José del Cabo ending on January 5, 2026.
